Refers to boards featuring X570 and Z690 processors. The last time I encountered high-end Matx boards was in 2018 with an X370 chipset. I'm currently looking for a Matx board with one of these advanced chipsets for an upcoming upgrade.

There are limited options but still some available. Stock availability differs by region. Most users prefer miniITX or ATX forms. MATX tends to be a niche choice, typically for budget motherboards. Unless you require unique features only on premium boards, consider B550 or B660 models.

On the Intel side and particularly with the mATX choices, the chipset doesn’t dictate the overall quality or whether it’s premium. For instance, among the mATX X570 options, none are considered high-end. It’s crucial not to fixate on board quality based solely on its chipset. There are B550 boards that offer more features, superior cooling, and higher-quality parts than any X570 model in the mATX range. Restricting yourself only to X570 because of a mistaken belief about quality will be counterproductive.
