Hiya, Since this morning and the last few days, there were lots of stories online about a leaked GTA 6 game. People found some screenshots too. Many people thought it was just an internet joke or fake news, but turns out those pictures are actually real. Now someone at Bloomberg called Jason Schreier said the leak is true. He's a famous person who knows games well. https://twitter.com/x/status/1571489679534608384 To quote what he wrote: "Not much doubt, but I checked with Rockstar people and confirmed this weekend's big GTA 6 leak is real. The footage is early and unfinished, of course. This is one of the biggest leaks in video game history and it's a nightmare for Rockstar Games." On YouTube and on GTAForums, you can see lots of videos and screenshots being shared. It looks like these are from very early stages of making the game, kind of like when they were working on it before it was ready. This is one of the biggest gaming leaks we've ever seen. To be honest, this reminds me of the Half-Life 2 leak. Lots of new screenshots and videos made their way around today with some cool animations, new NPC interactions, a robbery scene inside a restaurant, a police shootout, and our first look at a supposedly new female character. It's been a while since Rockstar officially said GTA 6 was being worked on. There are more than a whopping ninety videos or clips leaked in total. The company hasn't even sent out any special announcements about the game yet, which means it might take quite some time before it gets released. Some guesses say it won't come out until 2024 or 2025. These pictures and videos of GTA 6 show us what Rockstar has in development for the UI, fake dialogue lines, a new "Star" system, and all sorts of other stuff. We even see some PlayStation debugging tools too. One post on the Resetera forums said that this looks like an early version of the game, with a note saying the tram in the leaked gameplay says "Vice City." This could be a hint from Rockstar about the Vice City theme that's been talked about for GTA 6. A Twitter thread by @melzyfn shows another male character exploring what looks like Vice City, which is one of the franchise's most important locations. It also gives us a peek into how swimming works and what inventory systems look like in very early stages. One guy named teapotuberhacker posted a zip file on GTAForums saying "Here are 90 footage or clips from GTA 6. It might be possible for me to leak more data soon, including source code and assets for both GTA 5 and 6, plus the testing build of GTA 6." The leaked footage says the game is running on an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card at a low 720p resolution. It's either old footage from a few years ago or Rockstar is making sure the game works well on different hardware (they have to do that since they make so many games). Other videos run on higher-end GeForce RTX 3080 GPUs at much higher-than-720p resolutions of 4K, while another set of videos ran on a GeForce RTX 3060 Ti at 1080p. This means some of the footage was captured in the last couple of years since the Ampere range of chips has only been around for that long. I'm pretty sure ROCKSTAR will remove all those clips and videos, so watch it while you can before they take them down. It's on all major gaming or tech websites though, so you can search online here. I don't get why we would leak things from this early part of making the game. It feels weird instead of exciting. What I really care about is if the hackers cause any harm to Rockstar or the game itself if they aren't caught fast. On another thing, though, hearing that Miami will be used again made me feel a bit bored because it's like GTA VI keeps just going back to those same three cities: Los Angeles, New York, and Miami. I guess you'd think the developers would come up with something totally new instead of repeating these spots over and over.
UPDATE: Rockstar has issued a statement about this recent leak. In their official post/Tweet, they said that hackers broke into the system and got some videos online. But they made sure to tell players that this won't mess with their games or hurt them in the future. They also say nothing bad will happen now or later on game projects. Actually, a network attack happened. Check that tweet about MIAMI. I don't know if it's real, but using a brand new city or country would be better for ROCKSTAR. Also, since there is still time left to code and change the game assets as they want, the developer might even start from scratch instead of fixing what was broken.
I can't believe everyone keeps coming back to the exact same spots instead of trying something new. I'm pretty sure the fans have been giving a lot of ideas about where else they should go.
It looks exactly like GTA 5. I don't think much will happen or get new features to add to the game.
I have not even finished playing Grand Theft Auto V yet. It got boring in the middle and I had to stop. Some missions felt really repetitive or too monotonous, which didn't suit my style. But the game is also very long with lots of things to do. Taking a lot of time, probably at least 70 or even up to 74 missions depending on how much you play.
And when those complaining lines from the main three make fights hard, it takes forever to get them all done.
Besides that, I think some of the game's words and lines are rude and scary. On a PC, I want stories told clearly without slang or bad language that doesn't fit everyone. I get that GTA 5 is rated for adults, but games should be okay with families. That's just me though; I know other people love playing it like it's the best game ever made. lol. Honestly, I never got why all this hype happened about this whole franchise. It isn't actually bad, even if some players think that way. This game and CS:GO are probably the most popular things on Earth or so I heard. 🙄 GTA 5 has always been number one on Steam's charts, taking spots between the top ten best games ever made.
