Are you referring to movement speed or acceleration? To cover both, move the mouse left on the screen, then adjust settings under System Settings > Hardware > Mouse and Touchpad > Pointer size and speed. Under Speed, select Acceleration (default) or change it to Constant or Adaptive.
The game is opening in a limited view while playing in fullscreen mode.
Alt+Enter functions identically to Windows and will place it in full screen.
