i had three defective motherboards: AS-H91HDS, Wibtek H61m-PCI2 and a H87-G43 gaming board. the wibtek H61m worked well after cleaning, but it shut down quickly after a few minutes. i tested it on several psus with different cpus and ram. after cleaning, it stopped working again, so i left it on my desk for about two weeks. yesterday i checked again and it kept running for a few hours during a stress test. the H91HDS board wasn’t showing up at first but worked after a week. i decided to retest it, and it booted perfectly! the H87-G43 didn’t stay on long—usually it drops after just a couple minutes, even if it does briefly. i left it for about a day and then tried again after the H91HDS board started working. anyone have similar experiences? what might have caused this unexpected fix?

I believe the chips required a significant amount of charge to be removed, especially after being powered off for an extended period. However, I'm not entirely confident about this.

I've experienced this three times already—it's quite strange.
