I received a new motherboard recently, but when I tried to install it, the screws in the picture (not mine) didn’t fit properly—they kept slipping out. I’m having trouble getting them secure, though the others do work. My manual looks pretty poor. Could I just leave it as is because the board doesn’t move when I try to adjust it? Am I doing something wrong?

They aren't entering the area. Are there any barriers? Are they being removed? Is the screw not reaching the mounting point? If so, your motherboard might not be positioned correctly.

It's okay as long as the motherboard remains in your case.

Maybe I should clear everything once more and begin fresh.

Also consider if the cooler isn't weighing much, since one loose screw can also cause issues. Replacing the standoffs seems like a smart move.

No, the screws are not the right size for this project.
