I noticed an unusual problem on both my work laptop and home desktop. When accessing websites, a <style type="text/css"> appears automatically. This script includes trackers and ads from questionable sites. It seems to copy existing ad placements onto other pages. The issue shows up in Chrome and Opera but not in Edge. On my work machine, which is monitored by the company, this happens frequently—especially on URLs related to sensitive topics that could lead to disciplinary action. I’ve never seen anything like this before, and I haven’t connected any external devices. To reproduce the problem, I opened a specific test page (https://phet-dev.colorado.edu/html/build...-page.html) in Opera or Chrome. After inspecting the page, I found the fake stylesheet around line 12. I cleared my cache, cookies, browsing history, restarted the system, used CCleaner and MalwareBytes, but the issue remains. I tried another laptop on my home network and didn’t detect anything similar, so it’s likely not a router problem. It appears to be a malicious tracker. If you have any suggestions on how to remove it, please share them. Thanks, Denholm

Welcome to the forums! Does it have to do with something deployed by your workplace? Seems like it might be a redirect to log your activity but not 100% sure

It seems the content you’re referring to appears to be hidden or restricted. The references suggest it’s related to questionable or explicit material, but only accessible through specific platforms. Your devices remain isolated, so this information stays private.
