That's a good place to start I like the AWP personally, I have aced the enemy quite a few times with it personally.
Pursuing an AWP ace status is something I hope to achieve someday. I'm decent with an AWP in DM, but for taking out the entire enemy team it seems like an AK or M4A1-S would be more effective right now. Honestly, I might still miss a lot with the AWP lol.
It's all about how quickly you react, especially when aiming between two doors in the middle of Dust2 while CTs attempt to cross. I don't like the AK, though I'm okay with the M4, but the AK gives me a sad panda feeling.
M4 is more accurate but you can't get those lucky headshots with a spray and kill in 1, the AK is 1 shot to the head. I would say I play better with the M4 because you can kill more accurately with little bursts but I haven't quite mastered spraying with the AK or being able to hit the head with the first shot at a distance, some people are ridiculously good at this I've been headshotted with an AK from a long way away. I play Source sometimes and also try to hit people crossing double doors with the AWP, on the server there's 24 players and it's a hybrid classic/deathmatch with respawning so there's a constant flood of crossers, you might enjoy it but I'm not sure about the ping from the states, it's an EU server.
Learning the recoil patterns makes spraying people down straightforward, particularly with the M4—it's quite enjoyable. Still, I find it nice to occasionally have a weapon that hits on the first shot, even though its accuracy limits how often I use it. I might give it a try; honestly, I haven't played CS:S much. Before 2008-09 I was mostly playing 1.6, but eventually switched to Source.
It's referred to as 'cola' dust2 deathmatch server with free weapon options and instant respawns. Grab the AWP and head straight toward the LOS at the big doors. Check the stats and latency info—great setup for a quick run. The Deagle is especially accurate in source, really standing out.
The Deagle was quite adaptable in earlier games, but in GO it initially had more power than before. After several adjustments, it lost much of its effectiveness. You might still encounter a few Deagles occasionally, but they’re far less impactful now.
