I really learned the basics of CS:GO through lots of practice. It's quick to pick up. I recommend starting with offline play using bots to understand the game, then move on to online practice.

It's also worth noting that watching professional games can aid improvement, though that applies more when you're ready to compete effectively.

Engage in plenty of deathmatch sessions to sharpen your aim, work on discovering your ideal sensitivity. This video really helped me and I’m confident it will assist you too. Besides, study the maps and look for solo strategies on YouTube—they’re essential if you plan to solo queue. Always warm up before playing, even just 10 minutes of DM, as it makes a big difference.

Sure, download the Esea client and sign up for Esea Premium. Be warned, you might face some challenges at first. Tip – their client updates weekly to spot new wallhacks or aimbots. For beginners – Esea is worth it, I've mentioned it many times here. It's definitely worth the cost.

Some advice is quite unclear. When others mention studying the map, they mean understanding which path leads to each bomb location, but also remembering common names for features like cat, short, palm tree, play ground, fast cat, long, pit, ramp, connector, car, goose, cat stairs, lower, x box mid / b site, tall box, etc. If your teammate knows these details, it makes it easier to identify enemy positions and exchange kills instead of getting confused about shot sources. Sound is another key element. Pay attention to footsteps or movements of people approaching. For instance, if you're defending B in Dust II as CT, you can set up a smoke and flash tunnel while listening for any approaching or retreating sounds. Based on what you hear, ask your teammate in mid or B for assistance. Constant running isn't recommended. Practice using walking instead. Bomb plants last about 45 seconds before detonation. Take your time if needed (kit matters) and plan your defense or advance carefully. Smoke and flashes are essential—don’t skip them. Play together as a team, buy or save with others. A consistent group of five can significantly improve your chances. I’ve seen some casual games with cheaters, so be aware. Lastly, aim. Study each weapon’s spray pattern and know when to burst or spray. While it might seem overwhelming, it’s just a game. Enjoy and stay calm about hackers and trolls.

CS:S is terrible. Any seasoned competitive CS gamer would rank it last.

It's tough, honestly. I mostly stick to quick games, jailbreak, zombie mods, escaping zombies, and sometimes BHOP or TDM surf.
