After purchasing a new GPU, I decided to boost my Q6600 CPU performance by overclocking it to around 3.0GHz. I searched for guides online but found limited choices in the BIOS settings. I assumed my motherboard or CPU was fixed and couldn't make any changes. However, I discovered a link that might help: http://imgur.com/a/QTJrx. It seems someone had already created overclock options within the BIOS and saved them. I experimented with adjusting the setting to 30%, but my PC only blue-screened once. After changing it to 20%, everything worked properly, and I believe my CPU speed increased from the default 2.4GHz. I haven’t tested any games yet. I’m wondering if this setting is genuine or just a random BIOS feature.

As per the guide for your motherboard, in the "AI Tweaker" section with "Overclock Tuner" enabled, there should now be a choice labeled "FSB Frequency". Because the Q6600 offers a 9x CPU ratio, to achieve 3GHz you must set the FSB Frequency to 333MHz (since 333MHz multiplied by 9 equals 2997MHz). Keep these settings and restart your PC; if it fails to boot, consider increasing the CPU voltage.

Hello, there is a way to change the OVerclock Tuner to "Manual" for more personalized adjustments. Also, regarding the "CPU Configuration" section in the Advanced tab, let me know if you'd like further details.

There seems to be a way to switch the OVerclock Tuner to "Manual" mode for more control. Also, could you clarify what is available under "CPU Configuration" in the Advanced section? This should assist you better, especially since your boards are Gigabytes and I’m not very familiar with ASUS' BIOS setup.

You've attached only one image so far, but according to the manual for your motherboard, in the "AI Tweaker" section with "Overclock Tuner" on "Manual," there should now be an option named "FSB Frequency." Since the Q6600 has a CPU ratio of 9x, to reach 3GHz set FSB Frequency to 333MHz (333MHz multiplied by 9 equals 2997MHz). Save these settings and try rebooting your PC; if it doesn't boot, you might need to increase the CPU voltage. Hope this assists.
I updated the FSB Frequency without changing the voltage, and everything is working fine. Thanks for reviewing the manual and assisting me. Have a great day.

Updated - Needed to reduce memory settings and fully utilize the graphics card via the NVIDIA control panel to prevent any issues thus far.
