Solving the printing issue with Brother MFC-J5730DW
Hello
I recently purchased a new Brother MFC-J5730DW printer and found it doesn't print in grayscale or black and white. All black and white photos/images appear with a blue tint, but the colors look normal. Anyone know what's going on? Could the ink be outdated? Printing from a Mac? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Hello
Thank you very much for your response and the provided links; the first one was really useful.
I learned that you can achieve a good black and white photo print by tweaking the colour or balance settings before printing, rather than using greyscale.
It seems this machine only produces solid black when printed on plain paper, which suggests it uses all inks for other types of paper like photo or matte.
Adjusting the settings first would help, though it’s not always straightforward to find this information.
Appreciate your assistance and the recommended inks.
