After a great stretch of performance, I accidentally kept the power button pressed while Red Dead Redemption 2 was running. This led to a frame timing issue that also appeared when my charging cord came loose from my laptop during gameplay. Even after checking that the laptop was plugged in and restarted, I still experienced up to 80 ms delay between frames. This is extremely problematic for smooth gameplay. I've tried troubleshooting repeatedly, but I suspect the issue might be related to the game's configuration files. My system specs are listed, but I'm not sure what else to check. I've been stuck refreshing my Windows install and waiting hours for the game to reinstall. Right now, this is my only viable solution. Reducing my FPS from 60 to 30 helps, but it makes frame timing terrible whenever my graphics card can't sustain 30 FPS. I'm not sure what's causing this problem, but it's really frustrating!
