Good Morning
My goal is to burn MKV videos onto Bluray discs while keeping the exact same format (mkv) and lossless quality, so I don’t need to play them in any bluray player—it’s just for storage. I’ve tested burning MKV files to Bluray using the latest DVDfab version 12.0.6.9, but it converted them into M2TS files without my permission. The output had lower quality and the subtitles didn’t appear. Then I tried PowerIso, which copied the files losslessly at a 1:1 ratio, and everything worked perfectly.
My question is, is this normal? Does DVDfab not offer this exact feature for copying MKV to Bluray discs? Has anyone experienced this before?
Thank you all for your help and have a good weekend.

for copying files into dvd/bd you can mostly rely on any dvd/bd burning application, it doesn't need to be a video creation tool.
and yes, it's typical for dvd/bd creators to transform videos so they work on dvd/bd players.
