What advice did you recieve exactly when you asked here before? It could be caused by a couple things: an overheating CPU, a bad PSU that's unable to handle normal power spikes or something else. What are your specs?

Many were suggesting switching to an SSD, thinking it might fix the issue with my hard drive or BIOS settings. Your current setup includes an i9 10850K CPU, a Rog Strix Z490-E motherboard, Corsair Vengeance Pro RAM, a Zotac Amp Holo 3070 GPU, a Phanteks P500a storage drive, a WD hard drive, a PSU from Corsair, and a Noctua NH-D15 fan.

I possess identical boards and identical processors. Previously, the standard BIOS configurations proved quite unstable. Could you clarify when the system experiences crashes? Whether under light or heavy usage, or during shifts between these levels? Which BIOS version is active? Does your BIOS provide insights into CPU performance? SP 50 or 60 perhaps? Are you operating at the default speed and voltage? Modifying the AC DC load line parameters significantly improved reliability. Please share additional information so I can offer helpful recommendations.

Note: The issue I encountered was that transitioning from a 10-thread Prime95 Small FFT workload to idle caused an immediate freeze. Rather than stressing the cooling system with 20 threads during testing, using only 10 threads proved more stable despite still being a high load compared to typical user scenarios. This level of activity could overheat all cores. The default power caps weren’t sufficient for optimal performance, so I increased both long and short duration package limits to 300W. With an AIO cooler, if your air cooler struggles with the heat output, consider lowering these limits to match your cooling capacity—perhaps around 250W would suffice. Keeping both limits at 125W would sacrifice performance. For me, the IA AC and IA DC Load Line settings were crucial. I set them to 0.25 initially; testing with 0.50 might yield better results. At standard defaults, I suspect the CPU voltage drops too low, leading to lockups. Now, starting and stopping Prime95 without issues is possible. For load line calibration, I currently use the recommended Level 4 setting. The BIOS rates my 10850K as a SP 64, which appears superior to the average. All 10850K chips are multi-core units, though not all meet quality standards—some are subpar but others perform better. I run all cores at 5000 MHz continuously. Default settings permit up to 5200 MHz under light load. To prioritize stability over light-load speed, I’ve capped performance at a 50x multiplier. If you’re worried about idle power draw, there’s no need to throttle the CPU. Just activate low-power states such as C7 in BIOS. My idle consumption and temperatures remain excellent. Activating C7 lets unused cores enter a dormant state (C7) at 0V and 0MHz. Consider running Cinebench tests and using HWiNFO to track VCore voltage during load. At the default 4800 MHz, stable Cinebench results are achievable with less than 1.20V. This lower voltage is often better than what standard BIOS defaults assume. When I first used this machine, it was extremely unstable and disappointing. After minor adjustments, it’s now fully reliable. No issues reported. I’m using BIOS version 2009 from overclock.net. I generally use Spotify, Discord, Google, or a game, but it should function well with those now. Thanks for the thorough explanation—I’ll go through it carefully once I’m ready on my PC to assist. I’ll update you once it works.
