I got a Redragon DITI K585 PRO Wireless Gaming Keyboard as a gift. It functions adequately when plugged in, offering a comfortable fit and ergonomics for my larger hand. However, I’m facing some challenges:
Mapping macros seems limited to keys on the device itself, and I need them to transfer to specific keys on my regular keyboard without having to move my hand across it while playing games.
After installing the software and possible firmware updates, manual mapping should be possible, but the program doesn’t launch properly. It installs but remains inactive in the taskbar. I can open it by clicking, but 'Configuration' is hidden and 'Exit' is the only option.
I’ve already attempted:
- Using different USB ports for the cable or dongle.
- Disconnecting and reconnecting with kb disconnected, factory resets, reinstalling software, and reconnecting the keyboard.
- Using an older driver from online sources, which resulted in the software not detecting the device at all.
- Trying another driver option that included drivers for this model and mouse pack, but it was also not detected.
- Checking the device via Device Manager and attempting an update, though the system only lists around 6 HID Keyboard USB devices without details on what it is.
To be honest, I haven’t connected it to my laptop yet, but both are running W11 with the latest updates. I’m not sure if this will change. (I can’t verify right now, writing this at the office and about to take a break).
I’m running out of ideas and have posted on r/redragon Reddit, which only got me a downvote... :/
Maybe someone here can assist?

Alternative tools include AutoHotKey, Pulover’s Macro Creator (based on AutoHotKey), and TGMacro.

Hi.
That's exactly already the video I've sourced over the weekend.
This is my comment on it even:
View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bHoRks-X...XG14AaABAg
;D
It's where I got the older version of the driver software that I've tried.
Thanks, though.
Edit:
I also found
This Spanish video
that had a direct download link to a 1.0 version of the software for the keyboard. This installs AND apparently wants to run; the icon in my tray is red (actIve) rather than grey.
However, trying to open it still reports "Device is not detected. The key settings can not be displayed!"
I even tried a USB C proper data cable rather than the little cable the thing was packaged with.
This is getting stupid. I shouldn't be dependant on 3rd-party macro software to run this...

This is becoming quite frustrating.
That's why I avoid these budget budget solutions. I've worked with a few systems that required fixing, and most of them came with a RedDragon peripheral which seems great on paper but often causes problems when things go wrong. RedDragon peripherals are inexpensive for a reason.
Maybe test the peripheral on another system to check if the problem repeats. If it does, consider returning it (if you have a return period).

I'm sorry about the situation, but I'm trying to figure out how to proceed. It's a bit disappointing since it was a thoughtful birthday present, and I don't have the receipts.
