I favor bandizip over 7zip. Neither is a bad choice, honestly.

I was testing a free version of WinZip before finding 7zip...my experience has improved greatly.

7-zip performs well overall, but I favor WinRAR personally. It supports a wide range of compression methods and its own LZMA compression works nicely. Offering it for free would be ideal too. The main limitation is it only handles .rar files for decompression—it can’t compress or create them.

I usually rely on PowerArchiver, though it costs money. It handles many file formats, like ISO files and even Winamp skins, and it works well. For a free option, 7-zip is a solid choice.

I chose 7zip because I think I won’t need it for heavy tasks.

I utilize WinRAR and made some adjustments to edit files, which helped eliminate the trial warning that often appears.

I'm also using it. If it isn't secret, let me know what I did. It's a bit bothersome with that popup...
