My PC uses Windows 8.1 (X64) and has been using a specific WinXP app until recently. Support for XP ended a few months ago, and after that all newer Windows updates came with regular patches. I updated my system promptly but found the new versions removed compatibility with XP software. The game I wanted to play, Test Drive Unlimited 1, was designed only for XP and wasn’t updated for Vista or 7. Although it’s been nine years, it’s still my favorite, and I miss both the game and its mods. My concern is whether it’s possible to run the game on Windows 8.1 despite this? I know support is gone, but could there be a workaround? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I haven't encountered any problems with TDU1, except for some issues with other programs. Have you updated to the latest patch for the Nissan Skyline model?
