I purchased a KWorld TV tuner but the included software feels heavy, and Media Center won’t be available on W10. I’m looking for alternatives that can use the tuner and scan channels for tasks like watching, playing, recording, etc. I know VLC can handle this but I haven’t managed to set it up for Kodi either, even though it supports TV tuners. I need a reliable program that fits these requirements.
Be aware of the latest developments. Many TV channels now use encryption. It’s hard to access them without a TV tuner these days. What I do is use an ISP cable box, feed it through an HDCP stripper, and then send it to a HDMI capture card. That way I can stream directly to KODI.
