Hello, I'm working on upgrading my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 to a tablet. I'm unsure which operating system to install. Could you assist with the software part of this project?

I’m planning to follow a similar path as you, and I’ll be doing it soon. I’ve selected Android as my primary operating system for the build. The main reason is the seamless integration with sensors and other aftermarket accessories that I can’t easily find on Apple OS. For instance, with a Landcruiser that I often take off-road, I need a solution to monitor and show tire pressure. You can buy aftermarket tire pressure sensors that attach to your caps and stay securely in place. These connect via Bluetooth to a 2DIN tablet, which then displays the pressure for each vehicle. It all comes down to what you’re trying to achieve.

The build is progressing well. I'm planning the wiring next steps.

Not confident at the moment. Considering a Sony or Pioneer tablet head unit, but unsure about the details. I’ll respond later once I make a decision. Cheers!
