I was searching for tools to customize fan speeds for my PC, and I stumbled upon "smcFANcontrol." It disabled most case fans except the AIO unit. Would it be secure to leave all fans off while keeping the AIO and GPU fans running at around 600-800 RPM regardless of workload? I tested the CPU temperature and it stayed below 65°C at those low speeds. If anyone has software with fan curves or similar features, that would be helpful—unless those speeds pose a risk. Also, note I'm using OS X.

Assuming your temperatures remain low, the fan speeds should work well. You might attempt this, though it doesn't specify adjusting fan curves. I also discovered a version with maximum and minimum limits but no option to modify the temperature-to-fan ratio. If you can't locate a suitable solution, a physical fan controller could be a good alternative. P.S. Curious about your GTX 780 use in OSX—do you edit videos, or perhaps run dual-boot/VM for gaming? Or are you just like Yolo?

I didn’t purchase the GPU expecting a custom build. I used it for gaming on Windows, and I just set up macOS recently.
