I need a simple disc image utility to make a backup of my brother's Windows 8 machine. Since I only have a Windows 8 key, I want to capture the system before any updates or changes. Additionally, I'm looking for a program that can help manage or monitor what apps are installed, so my brother can avoid installing unnecessary software. I'm not demanding free tools, but a trial version would be great. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Cere21.
For making or rebuilding partitions or whole HDDs, Clonezilla is a simple and cost-free tool.
