So I'm new to SC, How does this whole organization thing work?
As expected, I'm just starting out and have been asked to join several groups. It's unclear how everything fits together or what the overall game plan is. You can find more details by checking the official resources or community guides. Right now, you won't be able to purchase new ships, hangars, or other items directly—earning UEC isn't available yet.
In the Arena Commander module, every time you play you receive REC that you can use to rent new weapons, shields, or ships for seven days. You also have the option to contribute extra money to purchase additional ships, which provides more funding for the game. UEC can be used for buying hanger decorations and permanent weapons/shields, but you won’t earn UEC yourself—so it’s best to play some games to earn REC first before trying out other ships. Regarding Orgs, they are still in development and their full role in the game is unknown. At present, they just represent a group of players, but we hope they will evolve into sub-communities where you can collaborate on missions and potentially manage a small area in the game.
