Hello! Your setup is looking stable with good temperatures during gaming. Since you're seeing a faint burning smell, it might be related to the plastic components or the air intake. Given your cat and the mesh screen, ensure the ventilation area stays clean and free from dust buildup. Keep an eye on the power connections for the 4080 and confirm they’re secure. Watch for any unusual noises or changes in performance after opening up the case.

Ensure no cables are obstructing the fan's movement. Remove the side panel and inspect carefully. The PSU is probably the issue, but investigate further. After running it for a while (and while you can smell it), check the case for traces of the problem. My assumption is either a blocked fan or the PSU about to fail—try to identify the cause. Don't leave the PC powered on until you resolve this.

The brushless fans in computers stop working when blocked but restart shortly after removal. To detect smoke odor, use your sense of smell—no visible damage needed. The power supply unit is probably responsible. Check whether the air intake is inside or outside the case; even with front filters, dust from cat hair can enter.
