I began with an AMD Ryzen 7 5800x, 32GB DDR4 RAM, and a used 2080 card. The ThermalTake Toughpower GF2 ARGB 750 Watt fully modular unit arrived last week. When I played games, they would unexpectedly shut down. I realized a stronger PSU was necessary and purchased the new one. After installation, I started Overwatch 2 and noticed the screen went black. I felt intense heat and powered it off. When I tried to restart, the motherboard GPU light was on but the GPU LEDs didn’t activate, and no signal came out. I’m unsure if the problem lies with my GPU or if the PSU caused the damage. I’ve tested with a different card, which now works perfectly. Could the old PSU have failed my previous GPU?
