I believe they might have, though locating the specific video is a challenge. However, I’m pretty sure they referenced newer NICs. Finding the right place should be easier now.

Likely seen in clips where they tested extremely fast NICs instead of real production settings. The issue centers on videos that highlight impressive demonstrations at home or on servers while overlooking the actual steps taken to reach those results.

It was in a few videos, including one where they connected the office: It's NOT an SMB issue, there's something else; those seem specifically 10Gbps. Maybe bad auto-negotiation; I get 25Gbps -> 2.75 with similar hardware. Sub optimal 25G copy example. Obviously it also depends on the file. There's also a problem with daisy chaining at Linus' house.
