Hello there, I’m here to assist. You’re using a Samsung smart monitor (M8) and Razer Nommo V2 pro speakers connected via USB-C. Your laptop works fine with the monitor, but when streaming through Netflix or other apps, sound only comes out of the monitor speakers. The problem gets worse after unboxing—audio should work through the speakers but doesn’t. You can only connect via Bluetooth now and are stuck. Could you check if the speakers are properly powered and connected?

The Razer speakers function with your laptop through computer interaction and required drivers. The monitor’s smart features rely on its CPU and similar components, meaning it lacks the drivers or capability to use other devices. A really poor monitor—no built-in audio output!? For Apple’s Studio Display, however, the internal speakers perform well.

Thanks for the response. What bothers me is how the speakers connect to the monitor. It feels like when I change input sources unexpectedly, it reverts to the built-in audio again. Last night it even switched back to the Razer speakers after I turned the monitor on and off. So it seems to function at all. Maybe I’m just doing something wrong. Overall, I’m pretty satisfied with the monitor because I didn’t have to put in much effort.

I discovered an additional detail. When my speakers are active and I'm using my laptop, switching to the smart hub or monitor makes it work as if the external speakers were connected. However, when I turn off the speakers and switch to the monitor, the sound doesn't come through from them. It's quite strange.

The monitor functions as a USB hub when used as a computer display, allowing USB peripherals such as the Razer speakers to connect. If integrated features like Netflix are present, the monitor operates independently and won't communicate with the speakers.
