Small stuttering technique
Small stuttering technique
I started with my new PC and faced issues when trying to run Fallout 4 on my R7 250. I heavily overclocked it and soon noticed strange stuttering across all games. I assumed the graphics card was faulty, so I upgraded to a GTX 750 Ti, reinstalled Windows 10, reset everything in BIOS, but the problem persisted. I adjusted settings like monitor frequency (59-61Hz), V-Sync, and various resolutions, yet nothing resolved it. There’s also a persistent strange noise coming from the monitor, and I’ve checked all cables and connections. My hard drive is unknown to me. Could someone assist me? Please let me know if you need more details.
Too many factors here. Did you figure out which fan is making noise? That’s not a big deal since you’ve already eliminated the GPU problem. The following questions might seem simple, but I’m trying to identify which part is causing the issue. Are you sure it’s not related to FPS drops (GPU) or network problems (warping)? Next, could the CPU be limiting performance or overheating? Or is the HDD (if the game is on it) running at high capacity?
The GPU stays below 65-70°C, it isn't causing an FPS drop since it's capped at 60 and still lags. It doesn't relate to network problems, as it occurs even in single-player games. I’m not sure about the CPU bottleneck, but it seems unlikely. Regarding the HDD, I’m uncertain if it’s a 7200 RPM drive. My PSU is budget-friendly at 500W, and my monitor is ten years old.
It might be an HDD issue. Try downloading HWmonitor or another tool that lets you track disk usage during this time. Also verify your pagefile configuration. Some games encounter problems with insufficient pagefile size.
I noticed my HDD usage reaches 100% frequently in Task Manager, which might indicate an issue.
