I understand computers fairly well, but this challenge goes past my usual diagnostic range. I’m dealing with a situation where nearly every emulator (Duckstation, Dolphin, PCSX2, etc.) only shows the quickest micro stutter, making it frustrating. It often appears in the audio as well. I’ve adjusted numerous settings across all emulators, yet the stutters remain consistent. Process temperatures stay low—under 70°C even during heavy use—and restarts seem to resolve it. All drivers are current, and power-saving options are disabled. I’m hoping someone can assist with this issue; otherwise, I might need a new system or take it to a local repair shop. Here’s an example from Animal Crossing on Dolphin: using a phone instead of screen recording made the stutter more visible, so I apologize for that. https://streamable.com/wmtt74 Specs: i9 9900k @5ghz 32gb DDR4 3200mhz (XMP enabled) MSI Z390 Pro Carbon AC Asus ROG RTX 3070 X2 Samsung 870 EVO

Stutter appears in emulators, particularly with dolphin, and other systems that mimic odd architectures (GC, XBOX 360, Dreamcast, GBA, DS, etc.). Consider trying triple buffering for DX or opt for Vulkan as the backend, since Vulkan is generally the fastest, while DX offers smoother performance at a lower frame rate.

I recognize that occasional stutter occurs, but the way it happens seems unusual. It didn’t happen on my laptop or earlier versions—it almost follows a pattern. Sorry, it’s tough to put into words. Thanks for your patience; I’ll experiment with different backends again and try to improve things.

Verify the CPU virtualization setting in BIOS, ensure it's active by default, then attempt to turn off XMP and restore the CPU clocks to their standard values to assess any impact.

Reviewing the video confirms the presence of "microstutter." Every walkthrough with dolphin in a world setting experienced it. Precompiling shaders and locking the clock speed to the original system improved performance.
