I’m not sure what triggered this problem, but whenever I play I experience brief stuttering every few seconds, especially when the game runs in window or full screen mode. It disappears only when I switch to true full screen. This is frustrating because I often use multiple monitors for things like Discord and Chrome. I used to be able to easily switch between my game and other apps, but now it’s not working well in full screen. Any suggestions would be helpful.

I’m on Windows 10, a Ryzen 9 3900X with 64GB RAM, Trident Z 3600, and an RTX 3060 (Radeon). My main drive is a 250GB SSD, and my games use a 2TB NVMe SSD. I don’t enable afterburner, mostly rely on hardware monitoring and Radeon’s software for overclocking. I’ve tried both stock and overclocked settings without much change. Currently, I’m using three monitors, but it might be one of them causing the issue. I also suspect the graphics card itself could be the problem.

I'll give it a shot—it looks like a simple solution. I'll check back later to see if it resolved the problem. Thanks for the assistance.

Yes, I have the most recent AMD chipset drivers from AMD and the latest BIOS version installed on my hardware.

I just made the latest updates for the Amd chipset drivers yesterday. I stay current with the newest Radeon drivers too. I feel a bit worried about my GPU, since it’s been a bit unstable after connecting the other monitors initially.

This seems to be a strange problem only happening with specific games like Super People, Escape from Tarkov, or Squad. When you launch them, your whole system crashes, but restarting the PC and opening the game afterward works fine. It’s definitely an unusual issue.

I recommend this to many players: install Razer Cortex software to perform a system reset and enable system optimization before starting games. It can block unwanted software while you play.
