Took some time off to refresh the home network setup. Upgraded the mesh system with the latest Wi-Fi 7 package and installed new Cat8 cables throughout the basement to reach the main floor. Everything is performing well once connected, but I’m noticing significant slowdowns, especially on uploads when using the satellite connections. The wired parts are lightning fast—over 2Gbps in full duplex—reaching close to 2300Mbps. Near the base station, speeds hover around 1500-1600 Mbps both ways. When switching to satellite mode, speeds plummet despite a solid 1Gbps downlink and under 500Mbps uplink. I suspected having too many devices for the house size, even with rooms separated by walls and about 40 feet apart. Removing the "satellite 1" from the living room didn’t help much. I’ve tried adjusting channels, disabling IoT networks for many connected gadgets, and blocking everything except my laptop and phone, but nothing worked. It’s interesting that nearly all devices except two are linked to the base station or satellite 1, while Satellite 2 only supports a handful of Nest cameras with similar speeds and about 20 devices. I’ve drawn a rough map of my network, which is a bit too detailed, but I spend a lot at home doing gaming, streaming, AI/LLM work, and hosting gaming servers. Any advice or suggestions would be really appreciated!

I checked if you assigned channels and considered using tools like WiFi Analyser to assess signal congestion. Your current bandwidth configurations on WiFi channels are noted, and I asked about your network's operating frequency—whether it's 5 GHz or 6 GHz during testing.
