The vendor doesn't have a clear idea of how the product will perform on TR. This depends more on your CPU's memory controller. Still, with B-Die I managed 3600 with four 16GB Trident-Z, but I had to lower it to 2933 using eight 16GB units. Not every memory kit and IMC is the same, so it comes down to compatibility and a bit of luck.
Typically there are multiple profiles for XMP. I’m not sure about DOCP, but it seems similar—it might be two different presets. With XMP one profile often fails because of timing issues, so it’s possible the problem lies there. Just a guess based on vendor availability.
The vendor sheet he provides doesn't mention compatibility with TR. In fact, it explicitly states: It is not included in the mobo list at that speed.
