Purchased a ready-made device today. Received it yesterday. On an older setup, downloads reached 9Mb/s, which was decent but not perfect. Now attempting to install Steam on a fresh system connected to the same network, currently achieving only around 40Kb/s. About 50 minutes to download the client? Could this be due to the motherboard Wi-Fi, the router, or Windows 10?

I would attempt to disconnect and reconnect the Wi-Fi. Test both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz channels. From there, you can try reinstalling the Wi-Fi driver or switch to a different wireless NIC entirely to see if the problem persists. If it changes, likely a hardware issue. If not, it may be a Windows-related problem.

I fixed the problem by inserting the antenna I forgot to include. Mistake made by a beginner with a Grade A answer.
