When I start Star Citizen on my PC (3090FE, 5950X, 32GB RAM), the main menu works well but once inside the game, the sound suddenly skips and stutters repeatedly. I checked the files, reinstalled the game, updated the graphics drivers, and even added new thermal paste to the CPU, but the issue keeps happening. It seems the problem affects all system audio as well. Once I close the game, everything stops working. Is there a solution to fix this?

Check for audio driver updates and ensure Windows Security is configured to ignore the game. This allows the game to bypass security checks. Similar steps can apply with other security programs. Windows scans all RAM-loaded content, which may lead to audio problems. This could stem from faulty drivers. Recently I faced driver issues after a Windows update, so consider downloading drivers directly from the manufacturer’s site. Try the drivers first and restart your system. If the problem continues, exclude the game from your security software.

I haven’t changed anything in the BIOS for three years now. Probably I’ll check the right steps to do it again, hehe.

I'm not sure which change you made, but I updated both. Now your audio works fine. Thanks!
