I own an older Asus laptop model X555L that is running slowly. I disassembled it yesterday to see if dirt or dust was the issue, cleaned the fan and related components, and reassembled it. I’ve also fixed a previous problem where the laptop struggled with certain tests. I’m unsure why it’s so slow now. I don’t have any background processes running except basic functions, and I’ve removed unused applications. I’d prefer an upgrade if necessary rather than replacing the whole machine, as this one is only needed for work tasks like sending documents and emails. It has an Intel i3 core processor (generation unclear) and a Seagate SSD included by the manufacturer. Thank you in advance for your assistance!

From this list of specs, identify the processor model and RAM capacity. Use CPU-Z to check the BIOS version and motherboard details. Review the partition structure via Disk Manager and assess available free space on the OS drive. Determine if the laptop uses a single storage device such as an SSD.
