You've observed performance drops when switching between tabs or windows, especially noticeable on the desktop. The system shows high CPU and RAM usage, but GPU remains at 100%. It seems the issue isn't consistent or repeatable. Could be related to background processes, driver conflicts, or resource contention. Checking for updates, closing unnecessary apps, and ensuring drivers are current might help. Let me know if you'd like troubleshooting steps!

It often occurs when switching between games and using alt-tab in Minecraft. The desktop would lag, GPU usage reached maximum, and memory was capped at around 7.4 or 7.9GB, dropping from about 5.5GB before the switch. The game ran in windowed mode.

I used to experience this problem but it's less frequent now. I looked it up and found that Focus Assist, launched in April, might be the cause. It's turned on by default when you start a game. I turned it off because it was somewhat bothersome. Try going to the settings system focus assist and disabling it to check if it resolves the issue.
