Hey there, the issue with your game downloads isn't related to your internet connection. Even when testing with Wi-Fi and using different cables, speeds stay around 40Mb/s. I've tried everything: restarting the PC, changing Ethernet ports, adjusting Steam settings, disabling background apps, turning off the firewall, moving the download to another drive, and even switching to a different SSD. Your hardware specs look solid, but the problem persists. Could you share more details about the exact game or any error messages you see?

It might relate to QoS on the router. Are only game launchers and other downloads impacted, or do other activities suffer too? Likely the problem stems from your boot drive. SSDs often slow down significantly during writes when storage space is nearly full. You should aim to maintain at least 10% free space for quicker operations. Otherwise, each big download will force a lot of data movement.

I'll free up my storage space and check if it improves things

I can't take screenshots directly. However, I can guide you through capturing the game download on your PC. Let me know if you'd like step-by-step instructions!

It's expressed as 51.2 Mb/s, meaning 51,2 megabits per second. Remember, one bit equals eight bits in a byte.

Oh wow, no way to figure that out, so it sounds like a Wi-Fi problem. Thanks for the help, guys!

It's important to note that there are no problems. The internet is typically measured in bits, while Steam uses bytes to gauge download speeds. These are simply different units.
