This approach seems suitable based on several considerations. I acquired powerline adapters while setting up Ethernet through the attic, though across breakers and the house it provides around 80 mbit from a trendnet av2 1200 kit. If you can run an Ethernet cable directly, that would be ideal.
I improved my home a year ago by switching from a single RCD + circuit breaker setup to all RCBO units. The speed dropped from about 80 Mbit to 6 Bbit between the same two wall outlets, though the outlets remain on the same phase. I also replaced the powerline system with a proper OS2 cable to the barn.
