My computer was assembled in 2020 and functioned perfectly until this month. It would only display one RAM module. Details: Ryzen 5 3600, Gigabyte X570 Aorus Pro Wi-Fi mini-ITX (refurbished, minor bent shielding around PCIE slot), Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3600MHz 2x8GB with 2 x 1TB NVMe SSDs, RTX 2060 SUPER FE, NZXT H1 case, 750W PSU. I tried troubleshooting by turning the PC on and off, disabling XMP without effect, resetting CMOS, and resetting the RAM. After removing one stick, it worked with just one. I swapped the RAM to a different slot, then changed the card to a GTX 1060, still only one stick accepted. Updated BIOS didn’t help. Placing my RTX in the spare PC made it boot. I removed the CPU to inspect the pins—everything seems okay. Still unsure what’s causing the single-RAM limitation; it might be the second DIMM slot.
