SlimSas to SATA Trx50 WS found, but reading issue persists.
I’m working on a new setup with a Threadripper 7980x and an Asrock trx50 WS board. I’m attempting to connect a Samsung 870 SATA SSD using the SlimSas port. I have a cable that connects directly to the SATA interface, and I can see the drive, but it doesn’t work—no partitioning or reading happens. All options in Disk Management are grayed out except for properties. The drive’s details look correct, and I’ve changed the BIOS setting to SATA. It’s confusing—I’m not sure if I’m missing something.
Initially yes, but now occasionally it blocks me. It mentions an error. Oddly enough, formatting the drive on another system still results in a two-partition setup, even though I haven't created partitions there.
