Slightly lower frames per second when I see a blue screen of death?
So recently, while playing Apex Legends, I hit a blue screen of death with an error saying PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA. Since then, my FPS in that game and other games has been a little bit lower than it was before. How can I fix this? My computer specs are an I5-10300H, a GTX 1650 with 8GB of DDR4 RAM at 2933MHZ (with 8 sticks), and a 512 GB SSD. how can i fix my frame rate? this problem happens in Apex, not just with it, also in Forza Horizon 4. But in games that don't need a lot of graphics power like Valorant, the fps is fine. I tried updating both the NVIDIA driver and Intel HD driver but nothing worked.
You might want to download an app called CPU-Z (version 2.01-EN) so you can check your memory. This way, you can see if all your memory sticks are working right, how fast they run, and their timings. I'd also like to see if the computer is using virtual memory correctly. Go to Settings > Advanced systems > System properties > Advanced tab > Settings. Can you post pictures of your Nvidia control panel 3D settings? Also, make sure under PhysX in the control panel that the GPU is turned on for use.
Hey there, so here is that screenshot from CPU-Z: https://imgur.com/QSOKBuD You can also check these pages for other games and stuff like Virtual Memory: https://imgur.com/CWMTszC NVIDIA 3D Settings: https://imgur.com/BaKWdw7 I never changed much on my computer except NVIDIA 3D Settings. Today, I tried reinstalling EasyAntiCheat but it did not fix anything, so my FPS dropped a lot. I am wondering if this is because of bad hardware or just software issues.
I'll change my page file to a minimum of about 1905 megabytes, and set virtual memory to its highest limit of 12288 for an 8GB RAM system. For the game settings, I'd turn off low latency mode just in case you're running way above your refresh rate with hundreds of frames per second. That setting can actually make your frame rate go down instead of up.
How much lower fps are we looking at? You can try using ddu uninstaller to completely remove your gpu drivers, and then reinstall up to date drivers. Display Driver Uninstaller Download version 18.0.5.1 (guru3d.com)
I'm trying to fix my driver again but it's still not working, so I think the problem is with the computer's hard drive instead of software.
