SLI / CrossFire FAQs
How did they manage to obtain the BlackBird from HP and then use it with Xfire on a Striker Extreme board? I’ve been around an Air Force base that housed SR-71 Blackbirds. If I shared this, I’d probably get in trouble—and you might end up facing the same consequences. Running Crossfire on a Striker involves installing modifications that could fail, and you have to wait for drivers that neither Nvidia nor ATI will ever supply.
You can ask the moderator directly to make this stickie. You might say something like "Can you make this stickie?" or "Tell me how to make this stickie."
Also you should mention that usually it isn't worth getting dual cards instead of a single higher-end one, though the reasons are clear. Still, it's a solid job overall. I’d like to suggest being more specific about when it’s beneficial versus when it’s not. SLI is a good fit for me since I need two cards to run three monitors, and it significantly improves performance in games with high resolutions. Another case is when you find a card that can’t keep up with your needs, and you can purchase a used one for a lower price on platforms like eBay or Craigslist. Anyone selling their GTX cheaply? I’ve heard better cards with 3TFlops are coming soon. I’d be happy to help you get rid of that old GTX for around $200.

I believe you're being a bit critical, but this sticky is just a minor tweak. I'm confident that once it reaches sticky status, the team at Toms will appreciate it and get it right, adding any relevant notes. Mactronix

Sorry if it sounded harsh; this wasn't my intention, which is why I used "may I suggest."
I also agree with Emp's view that it usually isn't worth it.
My main point is that many newcomers, like myself, will want to understand when and why SLI Crossfire is worth the effort.
I hope they include it as a sticky—it's a really good article.
PS: To the original poster, you might want to let them know about Quad-Tri-Hybrid SLI. I'm not too sure how reliable the information is right now, but I did see some discussions about it.
Sorry, it seems there was a misunderstanding. This isn't about causing offense; usually these situations involve ongoing discussions with many suggestions. EMP suggested an improvement and offered ideas on how to apply it. From previous posts, I'm confident EMP understands the reasoning behind it. Your comment was helpful, and I hope you continue to share your thoughts with me in the future.
