Just completed Skyrim installation on my new Samsung 950Pro 512GB with a few mods. The loading time is really slow—about 3 seconds from the menu to open world in 1440p. When entering cities or your home, you barely notice the XP bar since it loads instantly! The M.2 x4 drive is impressive, handling 2.5GB per second read and 1.5GB per second write.

I aim to preserve your experience, but keep in mind that anyone using a SATA SSD will notice comparable performance.

While playing Fallout 4 on my SSD it slows down a lot and takes a long time to load.

It's likely a 512GB 850 Pro would experience similar load times.

I ran Fallout 4 in windowed mode even though there was more lag, because the wait time was too long to browse. It was running on a 5200RPM HDD, by the way.

Your mechanical hard drives are pretty close to what you're saying.

So essentially similar to anyone using a good SSD?
