Hey there, I just purchased the Skyrim SE Anniversary Update. For some odd reasons, my FPS dropped to 5-6 in open areas, even though I usually hit 60. I faced this problem again recently after the update. First, I tried tweaking ini files and updating graphics drivers (all standard fixes I found online). I also did a mod of Skyrim SE with Skyrim Together and other graphics tweaks, but I wasn’t sure if they were the cause. After uninstalling those mods and reinstalling Windows fresh, the game worked fine for a week. Then I tried launching Skyrim SE again and hit a cloud save boot error saying Steam couldn’t sync files. I played through it anyway, thinking maybe the sync would fail. When I restarted Windows and ran the game, FPS slipped back to that low range. In short, rebooting helped temporarily, but the sync issue seems to have triggered the slowdown again. I don’t know what files were changed, but it’s making it hard to enjoy the game. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
