No one has developed a mod for Skyrim yet. It seems challenging, especially since the official Creation Kit is still in development. You're checking the Bethesda tutorials closely.

It seems challenging, and it doesn't quite fit well within the game.

you can focus on creating the terrain and textures without complex details. then import them into a mod file. if you need the lake to fit seamlessly, consider revising the Skyrim map design for better continuity. this approach keeps things manageable while improving the overall look.

The textures for rivers are not missing; they're included in the creation kit.

Skyrim offers the highest level of mod support among games. Its design ensures DLCs and patches integrate seamlessly, just like user-made mods. The core game remains unchanged, with all updates coming from external files that modify the master without altering it. The overall structure impresses me for its thoughtful engineering.

I enjoy Skyrim, but I wish I had a stronger GPU for those graphical enhancements.
