Loot tells you what needs cleaning and whether updates are available. I spent about four hours reviewing mods, switching lighting and weather settings. They also adjust the load sequence, which can cause issues if it’s not correct—especially before reaching the start screen. Check the guide on using tesedit for file cleanup.

Loot claims that Sounds of Skyrim and Lighting Overhaul/Climates of Tamriel clash unless you modify them, because the update doesn’t work with NMM. I decided to manually add the files to the data folder, though the instructions aren’t clear. The game crashes after each attempt. I could reload the mods again, but it’s exhausting dealing with this back-and-forth. My FPS would drop once more (it was smooth at 60 fps before, then crashed). Tes5dit is the least helpful tool. Editing is turned off and the program freezes instantly.

Yup, the chatbot had to step in for me as well. Want powerful storms and better weather updates? I'll take a look shortly. Your editor seems to be missing something—does it help if I check Skyrim?

I'll check it over tomorrow, so I'm exhausted from this tough modding game.

I've already dealt with the same issues, it's likely just a coincidence. Let me know if you encounter any more problems.

It seems one of them has to be removed, though I doubt it would solve the low FPS problem. This was the first time it ran smoothly at consistent frames.

It also caused my PC to display a blue screen a few times when launching the game.

Low FPS can mean many things. My frame rate is around 45 on a 970. I focused on audio, but it’s unclear why it clashed with other elements. I’m at 97, and most of the performance is visual, which gives me some confidence.

45? Odd... should be closer to 970

Mod Organizer helps spot conflicts and saves time. It highlights issues quickly. Remember to check each mod’s requirements before installing. Time and effort paid off!
