Modding levels vary. The impact on CPU or GPU depends on the specific mod. All CPU-based tasks remain on the CPU regardless of GPU-heavy modifications. You can't shift CPU workload to the GPU through mods. If a component is limited by the stock 4670, an overclocked 4670k will improve performance.
