I suggest using tools designed for data migration between storage types. Programs like Disk Management, Macrium Reflect, or EaseUS Data Migration can help transfer your HDD contents to an SSD efficiently.

Clonezilla requires manual reduction of the source partition beforehand, since it doesn’t support this feature. I typically use gParted for that adjustment.

You can't run it on Windows, though you can start from a USB or live CD and it will work identically
