hello guys, i'm interested in purchasing two Cyberpower PR3000LCD units. The plug it comes with is designed for a 30-amp circuit, so I would need a 30-amp breaker. Some people have suggested using an adapter to connect it to a standard 15/20 outlet, which I did. If i buy two of these, would they share the same breaker or should i set up two separate 30-amp circuits? The device seemed to work with my regular 15/20 outlet, but i want to do this properly. What are your thoughts?

Get a qualified electrician to look things over.
An electrician who is current on local codes and electrical systems. And can check wiring, receptacals, etc..
You are looking at a $3K+ installation /investment.
Budget in a few hundred more dollars to ensure that it all is done correctly.
Download a copy the UPS installation instructions to have available. Likely to prove handy.
Just my thoughts on the matter.

The UPS has two 20A and eight 15A outlets. That’s why it needs a 30A twistlock service. If nothing is connected, you could prevent a house fire by using a 15A outlet. But if you connect devices, you might not be prepared.

It has been operating on a 15-amp circuit for roughly eight years, reliably running my monitors, computer, and printers. However, I realized I needed a better setup for them. Since someone will be installing the new 10-amp circuit in the attic, I plan to have them install two lines. I’m aiming to cut about $70 off the cost of materials and labor.
