Hello. I've been struggling to get mods from Skyrim Nexus due to very slow downloads. It seems the speed isn't related to any specific mod, and even on the Nexus Mod Manager it's just as sluggish. The connection feels unstable, possibly because of network restrictions or firewall settings. My system runs Windows 8.1 64-bit with Avast, and I usually download at about 9 Mbit or 1.2 Bbyte.

The whole site tends to run more slowly than usual.

Which server are you connecting to (USA or EU)? Since the Kenworth K100 came from the ETS2 Nexus and SkyUI from the Skyrim Nexus, both files downloaded at regular rates.

The delays stem from their goal to promote Nexus Premium offerings. I get that intention, but with the current file sizes and the limits set on free d/ls, I believe they should abandon the free version through ad-based revenue. *sighs*

It doesn't make much sense to use premium when the speeds are so slow. Perhaps if the speeds hit the limit they would be more reasonable.

My file transfers were once quite fast, but something has shifted and now I get all content from the same U.S. server where I previously chose London. Disappointing. The site itself remains responsive, though it was much slower before.
