FFXV is expected to include RTX, as confirmed on their game wall of supported titles. Future releases targeting higher visual quality should back it up. Updating the engine for backward compatibility would be necessary, similar to other Nvidia projects. UE4 seems to be moving forward with this, based on current demos and supported games. Ray tracing is still quite basic at present, which might lead some titles to push maximum settings for future readiness. While Nvidia focuses heavily on reflections, Metro stands out with its single sunlight source providing full real-time global lighting. Achieving realistic interior illumination without artificial cubes or lightmaps is impressive. Most of the reflections displayed so far fall short in quality.
