The game requires a minimum of W10 64-bit to operate. Web searches suggest running it on W7 64-bit works occasionally, but upgrading to W10 is advised. Since you can easily obtain keys now, and your system can handle RE7, it’s reasonable to upgrade for better performance.

This means you wouldn’t need a W10 key—it would simply convert your existing valid W7 key (provided it’s legal). Get the Windows Media Creation tool from the Microsoft site, open it, and choose the option to upgrade this PC right away. Follow the prompts to install Windows 10. To verify activation, go to Settings, then Update & Security, and check the Activation section. If Windows 10 isn’t active, click the Activate button to finish.
